Floyd E. Romesberg

After graduating from Rockwood High School, Floyd Romesberg went on to college, graduating from Penn State with a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering. He received his M.S. degree at Bucknell and his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Cincinnati in 1953. He was employed by The Dow Chemical Company in Midland, Michigan and transferred to their Granville, Ohio facility in 1975. While working for Dow, he was involved in industrial research, conducting process development and product improvement of fabricated plastic products. After retiring from Dow in 1986, he worked for several companies, doing research and consulting. He finally retired altogether at the age of 77.

He joined "Toastmasters International" for self-improvement in both speech and writing. He was active in this group for eight years. His avocation has been gardening extensively, both blueberries and vegetables. He also has had a life-long passion for hunting. He now lives in Dayton, Ohio with his wife of 11 years.
