Liana Giovannini Figone

Liana Figone was born in San Francisco, California. She is a graduate of Munson School for Private Secretaries and also attended City College of San Francisco.

She instituted the first Columbus Day Beauty Pageant in San Francisco. She was president of the Italian Catholic Federation, Branch 50, and has served in every other office as well. She was president of the Women of the Motion Picture Industry in San Francisco for eight years and "Press Gal" for Variety Club of Northern California.

Liana received the title of Cavaliere from the Republic of Italy in 1976 and the Gold Medal from the City of Lucca for her philanthropic work on behalf of the Italian community of San Francisco.
