Halka is a pseudonym for a widely informed and traveled author with unique and provocative perspectives. The author was born on the African continent in the 1960s and grew up under an azure sky. He subsequently spent most of his working life in southern Africa as a blue-collar worker in a wide variety of jobson the fringes of societylooking in, but not taken in. After completing a six-year sentence for refusing military service in an army used for internal “policing,” he soon began a three-month stretch in a government mental ward for his apparently bizarre take on life. In later years he left Africa with empty pockets and found himself in Asia, working as a self-taught English teacher.
