His young adult books are flavored by his travels and love for storytelling, both of which he does avidly. His writing is a unique blend of adventure and philosophy that appears to mix that which is with that which might be in a very readable manner.

Together with his wife and two children, Brian lives on a small farm in the Sierra foothills of northern California. His interests include vineyard cultivation, solar power, sailing, mountain biking, and music.
